Qurbani: As you all know, Eid ul Azha is near, and on this Eid, Muslims sacrifice animals (i.e. Qurbani), then some people often start objecting to it just before this Eid, obviously, The purpose of some of them is to know the reason behind it, but the purpose of some people is to spread hatred and defame a community only and only in the name of Jeev Hatya (Killing of Living).

I would not talk much here but would say only three things to three types of people, out of which the third thing is for Muslims, the first two things will be told to the rest, and after that, you do not necessarily agree with me, you may contradict. But as a Muslim, I consider it my responsibility to clear up misunderstandings on any issue about Islam, and when I say Islam, I mean “True Islam”, not Muslims.

The first thing to those who say that instead of sacrificing (Qurbani), give money to the poor. First of all, know that while saying this, you are facing a Sharia and Law, which is one and only deen (religion) in itself that defines this as an obligation to give money to the poor and needy. Here it is not only so that doing charity is a good thing, but one has to give, otherwise one will be a sinner in the sight of Islam. Even the Qur’an has told that God has kept the right of the poor in your earnings.

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. Qur’an (51:19)

So he has to give, One who acts against this Ayat will be a sinner in the sight of Islam.

So I explained this basic point of Islam here, so to raise this question on sacrifice (Qurbani) is a matter of foolishness and ignorance, because charity has already been made Farz (obligatory) in Islam, True Muslims already act upon that.

Remember, “In Islam, Charity is not just a good act but obligatory.”

The second thing is for those brothers who have a problem with this particular Eid of Sacrifice, and they shout out in the name of Jeev Hatya (Killing of Living).

Now do not say that we have a problem with Sacrifice (i.e. Qurbani), not Eid! you should know that this Eid is focused on sacrifice, The Eid with no sacrifice (Qurbani) has already passed approx two months and ten days before it, In this case, You are not gonna hear any sweet talk from me. I will say to such brothers that our brothers should first clear the issue of Jeev Hatya, what is the reality of Jeev Hatya. Until the issue of Jeev Hatya is clear, this Eid will not be understood.

If you only read the book of Science of little children, then you will understand that Trees are also Living Beings (Jeev), then everyone does Jeev Hatya, yes it is a fact that trees and plants are different than animals, we accept this, But if it is about killing animals, then vegetarians kill more lives because, in vegetarianism, more animals are killed than non-vegetarianism, how? You know what happens in the agricultural industry, how many animals are killed to make the crops ready, it would be stupid that if you do not see their suffering, then there is no killing of animals there, innumerable creatures are killed there, As far as non-vegetarianism is concerned, only one animal is enough for many people. God has kept this system in such a way that the living being can eat only the living being, living can not eat the non-living.

So first of all decide that if it is only about killing animals, then vegetarian people kill most animals, they also kill millions of animals which they do not even eat but kill them only through pesticides. So first change the language of protest. The organisms for which God has given permission to eat will not be called murder, otherwise, no one will be saved from it, and vegetarian people will be proved, major killers. God made the lion a carnivore, the elephant a herbivore, and the man an omnivore, he has decided all this, A man is naturally an omnivore, his body’s characteristics prove it.

1. Carnivores have fully developed canine teeth (pointed teeth), whereas Herbivores do not, and the teeth of humans have a shape somewhere between them.

2- The movement of the jaws of Carnivores is vertical (up-down), but for Herbivores animals, it is horizontal (right-left), while the jaws of humans move both up and down and right to left.

3- Acidic enzymes are formed in the mouth of Carnivores and Basic enzymes are formed in the mouth of Herbivores, while both types of enzymes are formed in the mouth of humans.

4- The eyes of the children of Carnivores are closed at birth and opened after about one week, but the eyes of the children of Herbivores are fully opened at the time of birth, while the human child opens them in less light and closes them in more light.

All these points show that man is a species between Carnivores and Herbivores, God has made it like this. And because God himself has given permission to eat them, so we eat them by taking his name.

Now for those who question the killing of animals, I will put some evidence from their scriptures here.

The Dwij, who knows the law, should not eat unlawful (Vidhi Rahit) meat without falling into an emergency. Manusmriti (5:33)

Brahmins shall never eat meat un-cultured with mantras, always eat meat cultured with mantras and lawfully (Vidhipoorvak). Manusmriti (5:36)

What is the Vidhi (Method), the law or method is the same, that God has given us permission to eat them, so they will be eaten with a particular manner and in the name of God, that’s why when Muslims sacrifice an animal, it is done with a particular method and in the name of ALLAH, If the name of ALLAH is not taken on it with that particular method, then eating that animal will not be halal (lawful) for the Muslims, Then it will actually be killing of an animal (i.e. Jeev Hatya).

So people of knowledge know this, that’s why 35% of Indians are vegetarian, while 65% are non-vegetarian, there’s no need to tell who is there in this 65%. How many sacrifices (Qurbani) are offered at many temples in India, it is not hidden from anyone.

This issue is just designed to spread hatred against one particular community. Any person can be vegetarian by choice, one does not like meat, no issue, many Muslims are pure vegetarian.

See some more mantras from Manusmriti:
Prajapati has made everything of the organism edible, all the Sthavar (fruits, vegetation, etc.) and the Jungam (animals, birds, aquatic animals, etc.) are the food of the organisms. Manusmriti (5:28)

The one who eats edible organisms every day is not guilty, because the Creator has created both Bhakshya (Eatables) and Bhakshak (Eaters). Manusmriti (5:30)

Swami Vivekananda – A Biography by Swami Nikhilanand, (Page-53)
Swami Vivekananda suggested the Hindus eat meat when he was asked that what was the most glorious period of Indian History, He mentioned the Vedic period when five Brahmins used to polish off one cow. He advocated animal food for the Hindus if they were to cope at all with the rest of the world in the present reign of power and find a place among the other great nations.

If the issue of Jeev Hatya is not still clear to someone even after this much of explanation, then that person is keeping the emotions created by the environment around him above his intelligence, there is no cure for him.

Sacrificial meat has three parts, one for ourselves, one for our friends and relatives, of course, it is a celebration of a festival, then a party is necessary. And the third part is for the poor, the people who often stay away from this nutritious diet and they hardly get this, they are also included with us in it, and this festival is thus celebrated together by financially strong and weak people.

Third and last thing I would like to say to the Muslim brothers, that Brothers! This Qurbani (sacrifice) is a reminder for you from ALLAH that you should always be ready to sacrifice your life, your wealth, your children, your most favorite thing and everything in the path of ALLAH, the master of all worlds. And what is that path? That is, We are here to act upon the message of the Lord that is for humanity, and to deliver it to the whole mankind. We have to stand firm with goodness, truth, and love and be strictly against evil, lies, hatred, and oppression, even if your life is finished for that cause. Because:

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we will return.” Qur’an (2:156)

This sacrifice (Qurbani) is a reminder that for the sake of truth, you must always be ready to put your best thing, your life, your wealth, your everything at stake without fear, Your steps should not be staggered. You are soft-hearted at good, and strict against evil, let it be anyone.

In fact, they will be the true believers who will not have any fear or grief, who say labbaik (we are present) in one voice with goodness and against evil in the path of ALLAH, no matter how big or dangerous the evil be. we can die, but we can not step back, we are with the Lord of the worlds (ALLAH), we are with goodness, we are against evil, we are against Satan. These are some thoughts, if these are alive in your mind, then your sacrifice is truly a sacrifice (Qurbani). Because ALLAH says in the Qur’an: Their meat will not reach ALLAH, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Qur’an (22:37)

This Ayat is also the answer to those who say that what will ALLAH do with the meat and blood of the animal, ALLAH has made it clear in this verse, that your piety means your spirit reaches him, not meat and blood, meat is food, and it is eaten and fed. This is not one of those rituals of ignorance where those gods are made happy by sacrificing animal flesh and blood on the idols, and all the edible meat is wasted, and an animal loses its life for no benefit. Such rituals only waste edible resources.

Now a common question comes from non-Muslim brothers, I want to address that too so that this particular misunderstanding can also be removed, some Non-Muslims raise a question, although the purpose of many of them is just to cause distress and disturb the peace, for those who really need an answer, I am answering it here: The question is raised that if Prophet Ibrahim PBUH went to sacrifice his son because he loved his son the most, then you shall sacrifice your sons, why do you sacrifice animals, there is an answer like this question, If you sacrifice a son, it can not be eaten, everything which is done by ALLAH has a purpose, animals are eaten, the poor get meat, and we celebrate the festival, what will be gained from the sacrifice of the son? Now also listen to a simple answer, first of all, Ibrahim PBUH was the Prophet of ALLAH, secondly, he had a dream, he did not get any order, he considered it to be a sign from ALLAH, and that was a sign actually, ALLAH wanted to start a tradition through this. Keep in mind that the order was not given, because the Qur’an says: You have fulfilled the vision (O Ibrahim!). Qur’an (37:105)

So firstly it was not an order, and another thing is that he was a Prophet, he could be stopped by God, and actually stopped at the last moment, but we cannot be stopped, because we do not receive the revelations from God directly on our heart, but it reached us in the form of the Qur’an, and there God ordered that the animal is to be sacrificed, So in a way, the message of God stopped us from sacrificing sons like Ibrahim PBUH had been stopped. But the purpose of the whole scene was to deliver the message that pious people should always be ready to sacrifice everything in the path of ALLAH, and the path of ALLAH is actually the path of Humanity. So he was a Prophet, through them ALLAH guides mankind, and it actually happened! At the last moment, he was stopped by God, now that the son was not sacrificed, then why should we sacrifice our son, it is absolutely stupid and only a piece of sarcasm. I think the purpose of the Qurbani (sacrifice) must have been understood by this much of talk, and the misunderstandings must have been removed.
